Texas Toast

Most sports have their own events or their own meetings, but because BMX isn't exactly a competitive sport, they do not have "games". This is why Texas Toast is so important to the BMX community. This event brings together all the BMXr's. This event usually takes place every beginning of fall, around September time, in Austin,  Texas.  If you live near, or can somehow transport yourself to Austin for this wonderful event, I suggest you do so, because it is a life changing experience seeing a group of people come together over bikes. You can make new friends, meet new people, and certainly get better at riding. 

Stevie Churchill

             Without a doubt Stevie Churchill is one of the best riders in BMX. Over the past couple of months he went out to the OSS store in Los Angeles and filmed for them making an edit. The edit is on youtube, a lot of editing and time went into it so you should check it out. Stevie's sponsors, Eclat and Federal were able to make that happen by hooking him up with the latest and nicest parts. The picture below is of Stevie Churchill dominating one of the most famous of all places to ride in the BMX world... El Toro, El Toro is a set of 20 stairs that only the most skilled and daredevil riders will attempt to do a trick over. Stevie here, makes these 20 stairs look like nothing as he does a Truck Driver. A truck driver is your jumping 360 degrees and then throwing the bars and catching them all in unison. It is by far one of the hardest tricks, and Stevie does it like its nothing.

Brandon Begin off WeThePeople... on Fit

Some people may like cassettes, some people may like freecoasters. Either way you have to say that Brandon Begin rides his freecoaster with style! I understand that this change happened a couple of weeks ago, but Ill start my blog off with one of the biggest questions in bmx, when can I get those tires? Brandon Begin Completely re-did his ride and along with it came the fit T/A red tires. They look fresh on his bike, and would look fresh on almost any bike. Fit has not made an exact release date, but I have heard that they should be coming out sometime before Christmas next your, so all the kids can get them for Christmas. I wish the best to all BMXer's that are trying to get a hold of those.

Ride Hard or Ride Home BMX blog is a blog created by me, John Cloonan. I am student at the Sandwich High School and am currently employed at Aubuchon Hardware in south sandwich, MA. I have had a passion for doing tricks and whipping my bike around since I ever got on one. I chose to create this blog because I was inspired by Adam Grandmaison, the owner and operator of TheComeUp BMX blog site. In this blog I will be making a post or two every Friday, concerning up coming news in BMX freestyle, such as product, Team news, and spreading popular edits or pictures from Professional Riders.
